At the end of last year I did a small test launch of my online perfumery course which went very well indeed and I currently have a lovely group of budding perfumers in the private FaceBook group. I’ve tested running it over several weeks and also giving everyone immediate access to all the materials at once. Some people prefer this but what I’ve found overall is two things.
1. People are more likely to follow on with a program or course if it is delivered in small chunks every week as many find “all at once” overwhelming and so never get started.
2. Some people are just not ready to do a 6-8 week course and want to dip their toe in the water to see what it’s like first.
So for both reasons above, here’s what I’ve decided to do:
I’m going to open the doors to the online course a few times per year so that I can deliver the course over 7 weeks and personally coach people each week in the Facebook group. This means everyone is at the same pace and nobody feels like they are on their own (unless of course they want to be) – the next round of the course will start on 17th March 2014 (doors open for enrollment on 7th March)
For those of you who may not be quite ready to join the course yet or for those of you who want to see what it’s like first before jumping in I am running a free live webinar (online class) on 6th March 2014 7pm GMT . I’ll be teaching you the 6 steps that you need to master to make your own fragrance and will be delving into some material taken from the actual online course. The idea is that even if you decide not to join the full course you can get started right away with some basics without feeling overwhelmed.
